DESCRIPTION:Concert framed with optional Guided Poetry Walks through the Ashridge Estate. \nImogen Davey flute\nGeorgia Russell viola\nHeather Brooks harp \nAn exploration of the natural world through reflection\, poetry\, and impressionistic sound. We begin with Arnold Bax’s Elegiac Trio\, a flowing work evoking the picturesque Irish countryside. Adam Possener’s Pinpricks in the Sky follows\, a work for trio and spoken word with Milli Dubin’s poem of the same name. At the centre of the programme is Imogen Davey’s STRATA\, a work that draws inspiration from geological processes. Claude Debussy’s nature-inspired Sonata for Flute\, Viola and Harp\, a seminal work written for this instrumental combination\, closes the concert. \n \n  \nPart of our Musicians’ Company Concerts series \n  \n  \n\nMeet us at the Bridgewater Monument at 2.30pm to join our mindful poetry walks between the wooded hillsides of the Ashridge Estate and the chocolate-box village of Aldbury to frame this concert. The return walk will depart the church at 4.45pm and will end at approximately 5.30pm. \nJoin us before and/or after for a holistic experience and a chance to reflect whilst amongst nature.
