In the Meadow

An amazing sight you will behold
As you gently stroll along
There are many stories told
To the sound of fairy song

‘Tween blades of grass the fairies dance
A gleeful, fluttering throng
See them skip and hop and prance
To the sound of fairy song

See their bubbling acorn dishes
Berry juices, sweet and strong
Granting children’s whispered wishes
To the sound of fairy song

From the meadow you will go
Back to the world where you belong
Leave the flowers golden yellow
And the sound of fairy song
