Poetry workshop and spoken word performance with Cathi Rae

Thursday 16th May 2024 , 2:00 pm 5:15 pm

Workshop: 2–4pm

Performance: 4.30–5.15pm

Poet and spoken word artist Cathi Rae is currently working towards a PhD during which she collaboratively writes the stories of marginalised individuals. In this short workshop and spoken word performance event, participants will learn how to go about telling the stories of others, and hear about Cathi’s own experiences on her journey.

Her debut collection of poetry Your Cleaner Hates You and other poems is a fascinating mix of dark and light, humour and pain, anger and love. Her insightful work gives us a glimpse into the lives of others, and helps us to understand the complex world in which we all exist together.

Join Cathi for a truly soulful afternoon of poetry and conversation (and tea and biscuits).
