Alastair Ross and Friends: Bach by Candlelight

Saturday 29th September 2018, 7:30 pm

Bruno van Esseveld (violin)
George Ross (cello)
Alastair Ross (harpsichord)

A glorious baroque evening from three superb musicians in the idyllic surroundings of Great Missenden’s Parish Church. Perfect for a beautiful September evening!

Alastair appeared with The Academy of Ancient Music in Chiltern Arts’ inaugural concert last September, playing the virtuoso harpsichord part in Bach’s Fifth Brandenburg Concerto. Now he returns with two friends, the exciting young Dutch violinist, Bruno van Esseveld, and George Ross, cellist and founder of the Consone Quartet.

Their programme highlights include each player: Bruno will play Bach’s Sonata in E major with Alastair; George will play a sonata by by Bach’s third musical son, Johann Christoph Friedrich; Alastair will play Bach’s Partita in D major, and the three of them will join for an arrangement of Bach’s Trio Sonata in G major.

Full disabled access. Limited disabled parking available; please advise if disabled parking is required.
